PASA House Concert

PASA House Concert Series One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle. NOTE- For in person houseconcerts, we do not sign up for open chair slots via FB, but rather it is first come first serve

Performers:

Jennings Durand has been writing songs since his father shipped him off to college with an old Gibson and a handwritten list of chords. Now a father of four, Jennings's music has been his way of taking time to relax and reflect, and over the years, his songs have become something of a journal of life experiences and emotions. A singer-songwriter of folk music with hints of blues, bluegrass, and pop, Jennings sings with passion, plays with a driving rhythm, and tries to convey the spirit and emotion of his songs to whoever might be listening -- whether it's his kids or a public audience. One recent listener commented that Jennings is a mash-up of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Prine, and John Mellencamp, but Jennings thinks that listener was crazy and vastly overrated Jennings's talents.

Lisa Jeanette is a native Philadelphian and performing singer-songwriter. The youngest of nine siblings, Lisa took to time-sharing her brothers' guitars growing up. Since then, she's become a multi-instrumentalist accompanying herself on piano, guitar, and bass. The best way to describe Lisa's style of music is Kaleidoscope Folk, which represents a wide variety of genres in a diverse collection of songs. Website: www.lisajeanette.com

Rusty & Jan are William "Rusty" Crowell and Jan Alba. Rusty is an acoustic guitar player with more than 30 years of experience who, in addition to being an excellent interpreter of folk, folk-rock, and many other genres, is a fine songwriter. Jan is a classically trained flutist. Together, they create a unique sound that is better heard than described. Website: www.rustyandjan.com
