Lyrics

I’ve been all by myself, and lonely for my friends
I’ve got no more projects to last until this virus ends
I find I’m sleeping later and the cat’s become confused
She wants me at her food bowl, I think she’s got the blues

I’ve got the Social Distance Blues
I’ve got the Social Distance Blues
I wanna see my friends, will this virus ever end
I’ve got the Social Distance Blue

I’m mostly pretty healthy, but more high risk than the rest
And I think I could help some folks, if I could only get a test
I’m running out of milk again, and the bread has got some mold
Don’t want to check the label, I’m afraid it’s gettin’ old

I’ve got the Social Distance Blues
I’ve got the Social Distance Blues
I don’t wanna hide, just wanna go outside
I’ve got the Social Distance Blues

I’m doin’ what they tell me, I always wear a mask
I wash my hands to ABC’s, I follow every task
I’m takin’ extra vitamins, and really pushin’ “D”
And every day I keep away, so that s--t don’t get me

Instrumental Break

I heard that we could flatten the curve, in a week or two
Admissions might be goin’ down, as the death toll goes down, too
They say that if we’re careful, and do what we must do
There may be time where we can dine, and share a hug or two

Til then we’ve got the Social Distance Blues
The Social Distance Blues
We know it won’t be quick, but at least we won’t get sick
We’ve got the Social Distance Blues
We know it won’t be quick, but please don’t be a D--k
We’ve got the Social Distance Blues
