"Acoustic Familiarity With a Classic Woodwind Twist"
Bill "Rusty" Crowell
Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
Bill "Rusty" Crowell began writing original music in the early 1970's as a response to teenage angst and social consciousness. He was inspired by the music of artists such as: Pete Seeger, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon and Garfunkel, and James Taylor. While much of it is about personal feelings, it's also about events that effected him and his need to provide commentary. His music began to take new direction with the collaboration with flutist, Jan Alba. Together they provide a portrait of life on a musical canvas.
With an extensive background in harmony singing, Rusty is available for supportive vocals in recording and performances.
Jan Alba
Flute, Saxophone, Vocals
Jan’s experience on the flute spans over thirty years. In addition to her classical background, Jan is able to improvise easily with most styles of music.
Jan is also the principal flutist of the Tri-County Symphonic Band. She records and performs with various other artists in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. Jan is the office manager for Music for People, Inc. and is currently enrolled in their musicianship and leadership program.
