Artist Bio: Jamie Polson aka Jamie the Optimist is a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter from Northwest Philadelphia. He has been releasing music under this name since 2020 and has put out 5 albums during that time. In October of 2025 Jamie joined forces with The Gene Smith Band and is now their drummer and a lead vocalist. Jamie has performed with many big name musicians such as Reggie Harris, Sharon Katz, Seth Glier, David Roth, Emma's Revolution, and John Flynn. Jamie’s most recent album (Only One Home) took over three years to finish. It's all about the importance of taking action about climate change so that we don't have a future we are going to regret. Jamie has a wide range of musical influences some of which including: Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Harry Belefonte, The Decemberists, The Mountain Goats, the Taxpayers, Marc Rebillet, Lawrence, and Vulfpeck.
